Position Description

Boys Town Louisana is currently taking applications for Assistant Family Teachers.

Position Description:

Excellent TRAINING AND CONSULTATION. Two weeks paid training at Omaha, NE. Will work with a married couple who make their home within the home. (Assistant will not actually reside within the residential home). Ability and desire to work with six youth. Perceived ability to model appropriate behaviors and morals and implement all phases of the Boys Town Family Home Model including treatment and administrative functions.

Job Requirements:

A bachelors degree in human services is PREFERRED. High school degree or GED is required.

Must be 21+ years of age and have a valid drivers license with a good driving record.

Pass an extensive background check including employer, driving, drug, criminal and abuse registries.

Be able to be flexible with work schedule and work any day of the week. Hours are generally 2:30pm to 10:00pm with a strong possibility of working (alone) two weekends a month including overnights. AFTs will work 40-45 hours per week.

Benefits:

Hrly rate in NEW ORLEANS $12.78/hr.
