  • Estimated annual base pay: $24.90 (minimum) - $31.15 (midpoint) - $37.40 (maximum) Plus, overtime

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a HVAC Technician, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The HVAC Technician 1 is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment in an industrial setting. This position typically works with a moderate to high level of supervision and has limited contact with external suppliers or customers.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment including belts, bearings, filters, etc.
  • Uses multimeters, hand tools, refrigerant gauges, power tools, works from ladders, scissor lifts and operates a forklift. Works under supervision of a more experienced technician to improve skill level
  • Flexible schedule a must. On call status required
  • Repairs and maintains HVAC equipment in an industrial setting
  • Performs basic HVAC troubleshooting and maintenance including adding refrigerant, leak detection and minor repairs
  • Follows all NFPA 70E guidelines and lockout tagout procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1+ year experience with basic electrical/mechanical systems maintenance and troubleshooting required.
  • Basic understanding of electrical three phase power systems
  • Basic electrical blueprint reading ability
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and uses of equipment such as multimeters, amp probes, refrigerant gauges, vacuum pumps, etc.
  • Knowledgeable of NFPA 70E and lockout tagout procedures to work with equipment
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work in extreme environments (hot and cold)
  • Must be working toward obtaining licensing required to purchase and reclaim refrigerants, if site performs this task
  • Basic understanding of HVAC theory and practical knowledge of simple system operating principles
  • Learning new technologies and methods
  • Flexibility to work or assist with non-HVAC type repairs when needed
